Exploring Our Site

Welcome to a digital space dedicated to bridging the gap between sacred Scripture and the diverse tapestry of cultures and subcultures where it is intepreted. This site serves as the primary home for my book, The Bible in Culture, offering you exclusive access to supplementary materials such as insightful videos and audio recordings. Beyond the book itself, my goal is to foster an active community focused on exploring the dynamic relationship between the Bible's interpretation and culture. We are specifically looking at how we can grow in our ability to read the Word with a truly global perspective, with all the world. While we will certainly dive into the scholarly field of ethnohermeneutics, our journey will also encompass many other practical ways to improve our collective understanding of both the Bible and its interpretation.

You will find a wealth of resources here that build upon the foundations laid in The Bible in Culture. This blog is a place where I can share deeper reflections on themes from the book and introduce new topics that were limited by page counts. It is my sincere hope and prayer that these articles serve as a valuable guide for anyone navigating the complexities of biblical interpretation in cross-cultural, multi-cultural, or multi-generational settings. Because this is meant to be a shared journey, the blog is designed to be interactive, inviting you to join a continuous dialogue as we together learn to read the Bible with all the world.

If you would like to explore further, I have also included a curated list of my additional writings that touch upon these essential themes of faith and cultural context.

May God bless you as we embark on this path together, discovering new and fruitful ways to better interpret the Bible in every culture, with all the world.
